Managing Emotions
to Improve Relationships

High-performing teams are built on strong relationships, which require team members to be emotionally intelligent, recognizing others’ emotions and responding appropriately. In this session, participants will explore what emotions show up at work and how they inform the employee experience, particularly our satisfaction, commitment, and engagement. They will also explore how to identify and respond to others’ feelings using active listening, empathy, and inquiry. By the end of the session, participants will have a plan for how to recognize and respond to others’ emotions, as well as how to build stronger relationships at work.

This workshop is available in person or virtually in durations from 1 to 4 hours. Longer sessions allow time for guided self-assessment, in-depth discussion, and skill application. Regardless of duration, every workshop comes with a job aid summarizing key concepts.
